So you ran disk2vhd and happily loaded your VHD file into Hyper-V only to be greeted with this………
Well all is not lost. Googling the issue may take you on a bit of a run around as many forums seem to have differing opinions on how to fix this. Here are links to two sites that have clear concise instructions on how to fix the VHD using one simple program. The whole process should only take roughly 15 minutes. I suggest you perform the steps in the first link then while still in TestDisk go right to the second steps. Depending on your situation you will most likely need both.
Step 1 – Fixing the MBR

Right click “Computer” and choose manage
Expand “Storage” and rick click on disk management. Then choose “Attach VHD”
Finally choose the VHD file that you made with disk2vhd and continue on with the steps listed in the link above.
