Previously I wrote about the air rocket launcher featured in Make magazine. I also wrote about the eBay spy camera showdown. Well it turns out you can combine the two articles and you end up with a spy camera in an air rocket.
I had my concerns that the button cam we chose would die when it hit the ground or maybe the video quality would be so poor that you couldn’t see anything. To my surprise it did pretty well and stood up to numerous launches.
The video is about what you would expect from one of these cameras but my daughter (and chief science officer) makes the video even funnier.
The wind noise is an added bonus. It makes this sound like it is an actual rocket taking off when in reality it is a very mild sound.
This is what it sounded like when we actually launched the air rocket camera. Much less dramatic.
